Artist Biography

Ashley Landaverde is a second-generation Hispanic artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her love of art began at the age of seven due to attending the Conservatory of Fine Art located at California State University, Los Angeles, for eight years. She continued her studies at California State University, Fullerton, for her Bachelor of Arts. She uses various materials, mainly digital, charcoal, oil painting, metal, etc. Ashley combines different mediums to achieve a better outcome. She creates versatile artwork from surrealism to realism. Her realistic artwork are studies of the human form and environments. In contrast, her surrealist artworks are narratives and allegories that display a dream-like component. Her art explores human rights, comedic illustrations, and human emotions. The purpose of Ashley’s artwork is to create a connection with the audience by changing their perceptions and shining a light on unjust topics.
